THE FEAST OF THE TABERNACLES

The feast of the tabernacles, or the shelters, commemorate the time the Jews lived in tents after the have been liberated from slavery in Egypt. The people of Israel journeyed from the desert to the promised Land , living in tents meant living in temporary dwellings, thus keeping alive in their spirits the yearning for the promised Land as their true home. This feast is a reminder for the Jews where hey came from. They were once like a nomad, slaves in Egypt, lived in tents. They should forget he background.
Jesus goes up to the feast in spite of the threat on his life. And Jesus new his life is in danger. The Jews are waiting to kill him. But people are talking about Jesus we know where he came from. They seemed to know his identity. Jesus out of desperation and anger cried out at them.
What we know of a person is just a small faction of who the person is. We may not now the person’s real story, hidden life, secrets, desires, real intentions, hurts , family background. Each one s a mystery. So we must be careful when we pass remark and talk about other at the back and so n.
Same sometimes we may not really know ourselves, our back ground our initial years of struggles and so on. If we know we will b less proud , of ourselves and understand others better. Sometimes what really matter how we understand God, Jesus our Lord. Maybe if we try to understand God we will more merciful and compassionate, and understanding to others.
